Position Overview
MUST HAVE GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDANT EXPERIENCE - A golf course located in Orlando, Florida is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Golf Course Superintendent to oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance and operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing irrigation systems, budgets, and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily golf course maintenance and operations Manage irrigation systems, water usage, and repairs Develop and implement agronomy and turf management programs Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance staff Manage budgets, control costs, and track expenses Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs Maintain high course conditions for daily play and events
Requirements
3–5+ years experience as Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent Strong experience with irrigation systems and water management Experience in budgeting and cost control Turfgrass management and pest control knowledge Leadership and team management skills
Education
Degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field preferred Equivalent experience will be considered
Licenses & Certifications
Florida Restricted Use Pesticide License (required or within 90 days) Valid Driver’s License GCSAA Certification (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Florida climate conditions Proven ability to improve course conditions and reduce costs Experience in high-volume public or private golf facilities
Compensation
Salary: $70,000 annually Performance bonus based on course conditions and cost control No benefits included at this stage
Pay: $70,000.00 per year
