About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Director to lead all dining and hospitality operations at a prestigious private club in Hewlett, NY. This is a full-time leadership role with a highly seasonal rhythm, requiring strong operational intensity during peak months and flexibility during the off-season.
The ideal candidate brings deep private club experience, thrives in a member-driven environment, and understands the pace and expectations of a golf or summer club operation.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all food and beverage operations including dining outlets, bars, and large-scale events
Lead, develop, and manage FOH leadership and service teams across multiple outlets
Drive revenue through programming, events, and elevated member experiences during peak season
Manage budgets, forecasting, and P&L with a strong focus on cost control and profitability
Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure quality, consistency, and efficient execution
Maintain high-touch service standards tailored to a private membership base
Oversee purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and operational standards
Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term planning and member engagement strategies
Qualifications
5+ years in a senior food & beverage leadership role
Required: Private club experience
Strong preference for candidates with golf club, beach club, or seasonal club experience
Proven ability to manage high-volume seasonal operations
Experience leading large teams in fast-paced, service-driven environments
Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets
Hands-on leadership style with strong floor presence
Schedule & Structure
Full-time, year-round position
High-intensity schedule during peak season (spring through early fall)
Flexible and reduced schedule from December through March
