In this vital role, you will assist in maintaining the pristine condition of the golf course, ensuring lush fairways, well-manicured greens, and beautiful landscapes that enhance the overall experience for members and guests. Responsibilities Maintain and improve golf course turf, including greens, fairways, tees, and roughs through mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilizing. Operate landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, aerators, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest management to uphold course aesthetics. Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of equipment or materials while adhering to safety protocols. Utilize hand tools and power tools responsibly for routine maintenance and landscaping projects. Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure longevity and optimal performance of all groundskeeping tools and machinery. Experience Previous experience in golf course groundskeeping or athletic field groundskeeping is highly desirable. Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, and gardening techniques is essential. Familiarity with power tool safety procedures and equipment maintenance is required. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique. Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment such as chainsaws, lawnmowers, trimmers, aerators, and other landscaping tools is preferred.. Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude towards grounds upkeep and safety standards.
