Glendora Country Club is the result of more than 70 years of vision, growth, and commitment to providing a family-centered private club experience. Founded in 1954 and located at the east end of Glendora, the Club is easily accessible throughout the San Gabriel and Inland Valleys and has become a longstanding destination for golf, recreation, dining, and social connection.
At the center of the member experience is the Club’s Robert Trent Jones Sr. championship golf course, designed to provide an enjoyable and challenging experience for players of all skill levels. Members also enjoy a driving range, newly redesigned short game area, chipping greens, aquatics programming, and a vibrant calendar of social events and family activities.
The Club’s food and beverage operation plays an important role in overall member engagement, featuring multiple dining and gathering spaces, private events, and member programming throughout the year. Glendora has also completed several recent capital improvements, including a new Rain Bird irrigation system, short game area redesign, parking lot improvements, and drainage projects, while continuing to evaluate future enhancements to the Club’s facilities and amenities.

About the Position
The General Manager serves as the Club’s chief operating executive and is responsible for leading all operations in pursuit of excellence consistent with the strategic direction established by the Board of Directors. This role provides leadership across all aspects of Club operations, including golf, food and beverage, membership experience, financial management, employee relations, communications, and capital projects.
The next General Manager will play a highly visible role in shaping the future of Glendora Country Club while preserving the family-oriented culture and traditions that define the Club. This position requires a leader who can elevate service standards, strengthen operational performance, enhance member engagement, and guide the Club through long-term strategic planning and future capital improvements.
What You’ll Do
• Direct and coordinate all management functions of the Club
• Partner with the Board to develop and implement long-term strategic and annual business plans
• Lead all daily Club operations in pursuit of excellence in service, programs, and amenities
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and internal controls
• Build and maintain a deeply entrenched culture of hospitality, friendliness, and service excellence
• Enhance dining programs, member events, and social programming throughout the Club
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing senior leadership team
• Ensure strong communication and collaboration across all departments
• Monitor member satisfaction and retention while strengthening overall member engagement
• Oversee maintenance and presentation of all facilities and amenities
• Support implementation and oversight of future capital projects
• Strengthen Club communications through website, app, social media, and other member communication platforms
• Maintain strong community and vendor relationships on behalf of the Club
What You’ll Bring
• Minimum of six years of progressively responsible private club management experience leading to a General Manager role
• Strong financial and business operations experience, including budgeting and strategic planning
• Demonstrated success leading food and beverage operations and enhancing dining programs
• Track record of recruiting, developing, and motivating service-oriented teams
• Experience working effectively with Boards and committee structures
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and unify teams
• Knowledge of club technology, member communications, and operational systems
• Excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills
• Respect for tradition combined with a forward-thinking approach to club operations
• Strong understanding of golf operations and private club culture
• Undergraduate degree required; CCM, CCE, or similar professional certifications highly desired
