About the Role
Overview
Director of Communications & Engagement serves as the strategic leader for the Club's marketing, communications, and member engagement initiatives. This position oversees the development, design, and production of all Club communications across print and digital platforms, ensuring a consistent, professional brand experience.
The Director is responsible for managing the Club's website, overseeing social media strategy and content, maintaining the Club's digital presence, and leading the promotion of Club events, programs, and initiatives.
Working collaboratively across all departments, the Director partners closely with the Membership Team to develop materials that drive member engagement and support membership growth, with the Events Team to promote participation and attendance, and with other departments to create marketing resources that showcase the Club's amenities, services, and culture. This role also serves as the steward of the Club's brand, providing guidance and resources to ensure consistency in messaging, visual identity, and communications across the organization.
Responsibilities
Design & Production – All internal club creative design, event promotion, marketing materials, and member communications (print and online) including but not limited to: menus, flyers, event promotions, invitations, templates, check inserts, event signs, club notices, posters, emails, and digital/TV displays.
Club Calendar – manage the club calendar on website and setup online event pages and registration systems.
Emails – Create club-wide email messages as needed.
Website & App – Oversee maintenance and content management for the Club website and app.
Junior Sports – Design informational guide and facilitate website registration.
Cascade Cash program – produce materials and manage program.
Brand Management – Regularly update and refresh member resources and branded materials.
Newsletters – Design and produce the bi-monthly Club Newsletter, the “Cascader”. Create and manage the weekly club email program “Social Friday”.
Social Media & Club Content – produce content (event, food, golf, etc. photos) and oversee any staff contributions/submissions. Maintain organized directory of all club photos.
Update leadership on marketing department progress at weekly manager meetings.
Assist with administrative tasks and mailings in the business office as needed. Assist with answering the Club main phone lines as needed.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or similar field desirable.
Website content management experience preferred.
Graphic design experience required. Track record of knowledge of design principles displayed in past work preferred.
Administrative/office experience required.
Three years of member or customer service experience preferred.
Technology proficient and highly efficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom) as well as Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher), Google platforms (Drive, Docs) and new technology/programs as they arise.
Photography and photo editing skills are a plus.
Knowledge of video editing is a plus. (Canva Video, Adobe Premiere Pro, or other platform)
Self-motivated and able to multi-task several projects.
The ability to adapt and positively contribute to changing and evolving circumstances.
Strong communication skills.
Strong writing skills. Well-versed in editing and copywriting. A great eye for proofreading.
Brand Management Experience.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
