Join our team as a groundskeeper in this entry-level position where experienced team members and managers will provide comprehensive training to ensure individuals can safely and effectively perform various maintenance tasks. While a knowledge of methods and materials used in grounds and landscape area construction/maintenance work is preferred, it's not a requirement. Similarly, a working knowledge of hand and power tools/equipment is preferred but not mandatory. The ideal candidate should be capable of operating light motorized equipment, possess physical strength, stamina, and agility, and demonstrate the ability to follow both oral and written directions. A valid driver's license is also necessary for this role.\n\nAs a groundskeeper, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks essential to maintaining the beauty and functionality of our golf course. This includes: Precision walk-mowing on greens, tees, and approaches, as well as employing trimming, blowing, push mowing, and various hand and power tools for comprehensive landscape care. Your duties extend to bunker maintenance, involving tasks such as raking and weeding. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in the irrigation process, ensuring water distribution to tees, fairways, shrubs, trees, flowers, and overseeing seed and sod application. The role may also involve operating machinery like mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles. Furthermore, you'll contribute to the course's aesthetics through activities like laying sod, planting, digging, and filling divots, responding to assignments provided by Assistant Golf Course Superintendents.\n\nUnder the supervision of the Assistant Superintendents, perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance; do semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work; operate small hand-powered equipment; and occasionally perform work involving large equipment such as tractors, loaders, and gang mowers.\n\nAt Exmoor, we take pride in fostering a close-knit and family-orientated workplace environment.
