About the Role
Washington Golf & Country Club (WGCC) is a private, family-oriented club located in Arlington, Virginia. We are seeking an experienced, organized, and safety-focused Seasonal Pool Manager to oversee daily aquatics operations during the pool season.
The Seasonal Pool Manager is responsible for management of pool in a manner that is most pleasing to members and their guests while ensuring a high standard of appearance, hospitality, service and cleanliness of pool.
Resonsibilities:
Supervise and run the pool with the highest level of customer serviceHire, train, supervise, schedule and evaluate pool staffProvide on stand pool observation as needed to ensure swimmer safety Schedule personnel based upon anticipated member and guest pool usageInspect pool employees to ensure that they are in proper and clean uniforms at all timesProvide appropriate reports concerning employee hours, schedules, pay rates and job changes to AccountingManage within budgetary constraintsManage operation of pool, cleanliness of deck and bathroom, and stocking of towelsServe as a liaison between the pool patrons and the Club and work to resolve any issues as they ariseEnsure that all revenues are processed through the Club's accounting systemEnsure that all local and state laws and the Club's policies and procedures for the operation and pool are consistently followedCoordinate set-up and take-down of swim and dive meets, including judges'/workers' table, swim/dive team areasEnsure operation of PA systemEnsure that the pool is opened and closed daily at the posted timesCommunicate essential pool information through emails and postings, including expected (special events) and unexpected (weather/accidents) closingsHelp develop and run a swim lesson program for regular members (non-swim team members) of the ClubAid Aquatics Director in running a masters' program for adultsResponsible For Running the Dive Team at Washington Golf. Other duties as assigned
Requirements
At least 16 years of ageHigh school diploma or GEDExperience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specifiedMust have current Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR certifications; or any similar combination of education and experienceEffective leader Ability to manage team of high school and college students and handle sporadic stressful situations in a cool mannerDemonstrated strong oral and written communication skills to a wide variety of constituentsDemonstrated organization and coordination skills and ability to meet deadlines and multi-taskHighly proficient on Jonas software or in process of obtaining within six monthsAbility to maintain quality and safety standards and coordinate quality assurance programs in areas of responsibilityAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulationsExcellent interpersonal/relationship-building skillsProven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, squat, kneel, reach, bend, stoop, twist, climb, clean and lift up to 20 poundsMust be able to handle hot and cold interior and exterior conditions (sometimes hot and wet environment) and exposure to dust, fumes or gasesMust be able to work in close proximity to moving machineryIndependent mobility
