Founded in 1926, Hope Valley is an elite private club featuring a classic Donald Ross designed golf course, state-of-the-art tennis facility, resort-style pool complex, and a spacious, welcoming clubhouse offering its members first-class recreation, dining, and programming. Hope Valley is ideally situated in the heart of one of Southeast’s most vibrant, exciting areas.Responsibilities of the Tennis Shop Attendant at Hope Valley Country Club include:Greeting customers and helping them find tennis equipment, apparel, shoes, and accessoriesProviding basic product knowledge about racquets, strings, grips, balls, and clothingProcessing sales transactions using a cash register or POS systemRestocking shelves and organizing merchandise displaysAssisting with racquet stringing services or coordinating stringing requestsManaging inventory and checking stock levelsKeeping the shop clean and presentableAnswering phone calls and responding to customer inquiriesAssisting members or players with court bookings and club information (at tennis clubs)Handling returns, exchanges, and customer complaints professionallyPromoting special offers, memberships, or upcoming tennis eventsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious retail or customer service experience is an advantageBasic knowledge of tennis equipment, apparel, and the sport itselfStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle cash registers and POS systemsFriendly, professional, and customer-focused attitudeGood organizational and multitasking abilitiesAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPhysical ability to stand for long periods and lift light merchandiseTeam player with a reliable work ethicPhysical DemandsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods during shiftsFrequently lift, carry, and move merchandise weighing up to 25–50 poundsAbility to bend, reach, stoop, and climb ladders when stocking shelves or organizing inventoryManual dexterity to handle cash registers, racquet equipment, and small merchandise itemsAbility to perform repetitive motions such as folding apparel, tagging products, and scanning itemsCapability to work in a fast-paced retail environmentVisual ability to read labels, inventory information, and computer screensAbility to assist with moving displays, equipment, and stock shipments when needed
