Job Description:
The Assistant Golf Professional will support the Head Professional and Director of Golf in managing daily golf operations, providing instruction, and delivering exceptional member experience. This role offers opportunities to develop leadership skills, tournament operations expertise, and proficiency in player development programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Golf Operations & Instruction
• Manage daily play and tournament operations, maintaining a visible and professional presence on the course.
• Provide expert instruction and advice to members of all skill levels.
• Conduct junior, ladies, and player development programs.
• Play with members to enhance engagement and relationships.
Tournament & Event Management
• Administer tournaments and events using Golf Genius tournament software.
• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing member events and competitions.
Club Operations & Maintenance
• Conduct club repair and maintain inventory of golf equipment.
• Ensure high standards of professional image and customer service throughout golf operations.
Team Leadership
• Train, mentor, and supervise golf operations staff as directed by the Head Professional.
• Foster a positive, service-focused culture aligned with club values.
Qualifications:
• PGA Member in good standing or PGA Associate actively pursuing membership.
• Strong knowledge of the game, Rules of Golf, facility operations, and junior golf programming.
• Private club experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Golf Genius tournament software and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of club repair and golf operations.
• Highly motivated, hardworking, and a team player with a professional demeanor.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to be on feet and walk for extended periods.
• Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
