The role of the Club Operations Manager at Tamarack Golf Club is integral to the seamless running of daily operations focused on golf, food and beverage, and outside services. This leadership position partners closely with the General Manager to plan, lead, and coordinate all club activities ensuring the highest level of service is delivered. The Operations Manager plays a critical role in staff selection, development, and retention, motivating a talented team to exceed member and guest expectations. This position manages compliance with national programs including the Players Club, Core Beverage Program, Menu Program, Approved Product List, and the Beverage Cartender program, guaranteeing standards are met and maintained. Financial stewardship is a key component of this role, with responsibilities including meeting financial targets and enforcing consistent accounting procedures for tracking revenues, payroll, inventories, and expenses. The Operations Manager ensures robust control measures and accuracy in financial documentation, contributing directly to the club's profitability and sustainability. Additionally, the role calls for active involvement in marketing initiatives, taking on the role of Social Media coordinator and creating promotional materials under the direction of the General Manager and Corporate Marketing team. This function supports both short- and long-term operational and financial planning to continually optimize club offerings and outcomes. The Operations Manager oversees administration of core club programs including golf cart rentals and handicap programs, while also managing retail and merchandising. This includes inventory display, completing inventories, generating cost of goods reports, and applying strict controls to maintain accurate and organized operations. Golf systems administration such as reservation systems and green fee accuracy on multiple platforms is also under this role’s purview. Effective communication across departments is vital, keeping staff informed about programs, events, and operational updates. This full-time position demands flexibility with working hours often extending to nights, weekends, and holidays. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills as the individual reviews financial documents, plans budgets, and interacts extensively with staff, members, and external stakeholders.
