About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and management of a premier Leisure & Sports facility in San Jose . This critical role involves ensuring the highest standards of turfgrass health, course aesthetics, and playability. You will lead a team of groundskeepers, manage budgets, and implement best practices in agronomy and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities Direct and supervise all aspects of golf course maintenance, including turfgrass mowing, irrigation, fertilization, and pest management. Develop and manage the annual operating budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and expenditure control. Implement and maintain integrated pest management programs and sustainable agronomic practices.
Schedule and manage daily tasks for the groundskeeping staff, providing training, supervision, and performance feedback. Oversee course renovation projects, equipment purchasing, and maintenance schedules to ensure optimal operational efficiency and longevity. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Assistant or Head Golf Course Superintendent.
Degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field; GCSAA certification is highly desirable. Proficiency in turfgrass management techniques, irrigation systems, and drainage principles.
