Description
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS
The Golf Attendant- PT is responsible for performing routine work in preparing and maintaining golf carts and will work the counter at the snack bar as needed.
Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Golf Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspects golf carts for use by players.
Will assist with sanitizing and assuring cleanliness of each golf cart for the following user.
Stores golf carts away at the end of the day.
Opens or locks premises before or after daily operations.
Picks up, cleans and culls driving range balls from the driving range.
Cooks, cleans and serves drinks to customers.
Responsible for cash handling.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work process, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
Maintain regular and prompt attendance; physically present to work.
Performs after work hours as required (nights and weekends).
Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
Some positions will require the performance of other essential and marginal functions depending upon assignment.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED & EXERCISED
Receives general supervision from the Golf Operations Manager.
QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
Knowledge of:
Operational knowledge of golf carts, utility vehicles, and other golf-related equipment.
Customer service principles and practices.
Safety principles, practices, and techniques related to golf course safety.
Ability to:
Operate a golf cart or similar utility vehicle.
Follow oral and written instructions.
Work on weekends.
Work cooperatively with other City employees and the public.
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent; or six (6) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses, Certificates & Registrations:
Valid Texas Driver’s License.
TABC Certifications preferred.
Food Handler License preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee is regularly required to sit and use hands and fingers. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
SAFETY SENSITIVITY
This position is not classified as a safety-sensitive position.
