Role and Responsibilities:
The Golf Grounds Maintenance Worker plays an integral role in the day-to-day upkeep of the golf course and its equipment. Responsibilities include:
Conducting preventative upkeep on all machinery and keeping relevant documentation current.Leading the team on the golf course and during other daily activities.Mentoring new team members on golf course maintenance tasks.Communicating requirements to the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Equipment Technicians as needed.Maintaining a pristine environment on the course with meticulous attention to detail.Regularly inspecting and adjusting tee markers and traffic stakes.Cleaning duties at the golf operations facility in the afternoons.Ensuring the course is free from debris on a daily basis.Engaging in resort activities as needed.Adapting to scheduling changes to meet varying demands.Leading the team effectively during managerial absence.Maintaining clear and consistent communication with management.Required Skills and Experience:
At least five years of experience in golf course maintenance or a turf degree with a minimum of two years of experience.Hands-on experience in turf maintenance practices for golf courses.Knowledge of proper equipment use and safety precautions in golf course maintenance.At least three years of grounds maintenance experience.Familiarity with golf course maintenance operations.Ability to operate all necessary equipment effectively.Strength to lift weights up to 80 pounds.Ability to work well with others and interact with guests and members on a limited basis.Ability to function effectively in a variety of environmental and physical conditions.Strong ability to comprehend and follow instructions from leadership.Preferred Qualifications:
