About the Role
Grill on The Green Server provides members and their guests with beverages and food at the walk up location behind the Clubhouse. This position requires a friendly, highly self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and interact with members in a professional manner.
The successful team member must be highly responsive to members and their guests to provide excellent and attentive service. Our Server does serve alcoholic beverages on a limited basis and their knowledge about beers and other alcoholic beverages are very beneficial in providing excellent service.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am - 4pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting with food prep is of consistently high quality and that portions are consistently controlled. Food tickets are complete and out in a timely manner. Providing members and guests with friendly, timely, and exceptional service. To arrive well-groomed and on-time and dressed in the appropriate uniform. Responsible for the daily set up of the Grill on the Green with necessary supplies. Maintain a clean, safe and organized workplace. Ensure that all equipment is operating properly. Report malfunctions to supervisor as appropriate. Serve a variety of beers and alcoholic beverages. Utilize point of sale system to charge members for all food and beverage purchases. Responsible for locking up all liquor at the end of the evening. Return any portable bars to the storage area at the end of the season. Dispose of all trash at the end of each shift. Communicate any issues with food service or dining issues to the F&B Manager, and/or Chef in a timely manner.
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol A positive attitude while on the job is also essential. Must treat all members, guests, and Team Members with respect. High school diploma. Previous food & beverage experience required Food prep and safe serve experience, preferred. Point of sale experience, preferred. Basic golf etiquette knowledge a definite asset. Knowledge of leisure style customer service to exclusive member clientele. Previous experience in restaurant or "club" environment, preferred. Basic mathematical abilities. Ability to use safety practices in carrying out job duties. Ability to proficiently function in a fast paced environment. Ability to develop and utilize organizational skills. Ability to add, be multi-tasked, and plan and prepare for routine and special functions with little supervision. Work schedules may vary; therefore flexibility in last minute changes is necessary. Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Seasonal busy periods of business will require longer work schedules. The most common times are tournaments, holidays and special events.
