This role is embedded within the Lyric at RidgeGate community and is focused on overseeing the Food & Beverage (F&B) operations to ensure a superior guest experience. The Food & Beverage Director plays a crucial leadership role, reporting directly to the Club General Manager. They are responsible for strategic planning, leading a team to meet high culinary and service standards, and driving business growth through innovative culinary concepts and effective management practices. This full-time position offers an annual salary range of $75,000 to $80,000 and comes with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and access to a 401(k) plan after eligibility requirements are met.
In this dynamic position, the Food & Beverage Director not only manages day-to-day operations but also contributes to key development initiatives related to clubhouse and restaurant facilities. They provide strategic direction for business planning, capital expansion, branding, and the creation of new and engaging food and beverage experiences for residents and guests. Maintaining superior food service standards and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction are paramount. The director fosters effective communication among team members and motivates staff to embody the core values of BlueStar Resort & Golf. This role requires a high level of customer orientation, leadership, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The Food & Beverage Director oversees budget management, cost control, and operational reporting, ensuring the financial health and operational excellence of the F&B department. This position is integral to the success of Lyric at RidgeGate's food and beverage offerings and demands a professional who is both strategic and hands-on, demonstrating integrity, respect, teamwork, and competitive spirit in all aspects of their work.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
• Four to ten years' experience in a hospitality field
• Three to five years' experience supervising a team of managers or in another supervisory role
• Current food handlers card and TIPS certification
• Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
• Knowledge of restaurant database software is a plus
• Knowledgeable about county regulations
• Ability to understand and implement BlueStar Resort & Golf dining standards
• Knowledgeable about financial forecasting and budgets
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret periodicals specific to the food service industry
• Ability to understand the standardized recipe format
• Ability to solve problems quickly, write regular reports, order guidelines, production and clean-up guides
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Must have strategic planning, change management, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, time management, and employee development skills
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards including attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness
• Must demonstrate initiative and make independent decisions based on sound judgment
• Must be able to pay attention to multiple details and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, may require minimal travel
• Valid driver's license is required
