Lake Monticello Golf Club, located in Palmyra, VA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Seasonal Course Ranger! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Course Ranger to join our team for the seasonal period. This role is responsible for patrolling the course during weekend afternoon hours, ensuring play flows smoothly, and enforcing course rules to maintain a positive experience for all guests.
Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays, 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Patrol the course on Saturdays and Sundays to monitor pace of playEnsure golfers are following all posted course rules and policiesAddress pace-of-play issues in a professional, courteous mannerProvide assistance and basic information to players as neededReport rule violations, safety concerns, or course issues to managementHelp maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable course environmentQualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to enforce rules calmly, respectfully, and consistentlyDependable and punctual, with availability every weekend afternoonAbility to work outdoors for extended periodsKnowledge of golf etiquette and rules is preferred (but not required)Physical Requirements
Ability to walk or ride the course for extended periodsComfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbout Troon
