About the Role
Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Uses equipment such as tractors, walking and riding greens mowers, tee mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, rollers, bunker rakes, carts, push mowers, chainsaws, string trimmers and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools.
- Maintains and cuts grass on greens, tee boxes, fairways, roughs, and surrounds.
- Maintains bunkers.
- Assists with sodding and trimming.
- Observes all safety practices and protocols.
- Participates in required trainings and meetings.
- Regular, punctual attendance is required.
- Performs other required tasks and duties as assigned.
**Must be able to pass background check including a pre-employment drug screen.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school degree or equivalent
Previous Golf Course maintenance experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before property owners or guests of organization.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid California driver's license required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Work tasks are performed mainly outdoors and involve physical strength and endurance.
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures and inclement weather.
- Works with heavy equipment such as mowers, rollers, cutters and utility vehicles. .
- Position requires walking and standing for long periods of time. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing,
listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs. occasionally, and on a regular and continuing basis to move objects.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch frequently.
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near and color vision and depth perception.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Employee shall work well under pressure; meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines. Employee shall at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
