We are seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Equipment Technician to join our golf course maintenance team. This position assists in maintaining, repairing, and servicing the equipment used in daily golf course operations. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of golf course equipment, including:
- Reel and rotary mowers
- Utility vehicles
- Tractors
- Sprayers and spreaders
- Small engine equipment (trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, etc.)
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, including:
- Oil and filter changes
- Lubrication and greasing
- Tire repair and replacement
- Hydraulic system inspections
- Battery maintenance
- Assist with reel grinding, bedknife adjustments, and mower setup.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Keep the equipment maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist with equipment inventory and parts management.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and operates efficiently.
- Communicate equipment issues promptly to the Equipment Manager and Superintendent.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Have a valid drivers license
