Position Overview
As Director of Golf, you will report directly to Donnie Smith, General Manager, and work closely with ownership and executive leadership, including Jason Page, Owner, and Morgan Hayes, Chief Financial Officer. You will be responsible for the leadership, management, and strategic direction of all golf operations, ensuring an exceptional experience for members and guests while driving growth and operational excellence.
Experience Required

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee the management and performance of all golf shop and applicable department operations and services, ensuring high standards and total customer satisfactionEnsure proper hiring, training, supervision, professional development, and corrective action in accordance with labor standards and company policiesOversee the development and implementation of operating procedures and training manuals for golf operationsLead, manage, and develop all golf department staffRepresent the facility by attending committee, staff, and public meetings as requestedDevelop and coordinate annual business plans for the golf operationOversee all communication efforts including correspondence, reporting, newsletters, and member communicationsCollaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to coordinate all golf-related food and beverage needs, including on-course service, tournaments, and eventsMeet, greet, and build relationships with prospective customers and patronsEnforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usageDevelop and oversee an innovative tournament schedule and golf activities program that serves all customer segmentsLead the development of instruction programs, clinics, golf schools, and player development initiativesOversee a profitable merchandise operation aligned with customer demographics and needsDirect golf marketing initiatives including promotions, player recruitment, yield management, packages, events, and membership growthManage all financial aspects of golf operations including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance monitoringEstablish and track sales goals for all golf programs and services; analyze performance data and implement improvementsMaintain a strong working relationship with the Golf Course Superintendent and other department leadersEngage with customers and patrons through on-course interaction and play, as time permitsLead and coordinate all driving range initiatives
