As a valued part of our team, you'll help deliver a professional and welcoming golf experience in a setting that supports military excellence, camaraderie, and recreational wellness.</p>
<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong><br />The 2nd Assistant Golf Professional supports the golf operations team with daily responsibilities, focusing on customer service, tournament execution, merchandise operations, and player development. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in golf management and/or PGA membership.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, including military and civilian patrons.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Assist with opening and closing procedures, tee sheet management, and pro shop operations.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Support tournament planning, setup, and scoring for both recreational and competitive events.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Supervise and train outside services staff, ensuring a professional standard is maintained.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf shop, practice areas, and facilities.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Assist in merchandise sales, inventory management, and visual displays.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Offer basic instruction and junior golf assistance under the direction of the Head Professional.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Enforce facility rules and maintain the pace of play standards.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Perform other duties as assigned to support golf operations.</p>
</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>High school diploma or equivalent</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Current or aspiring PGA Apprentice preferred.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a golf operation or similar hospitality role.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Proficient in golf point-of-sale and tee sheet software </p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Knowledge of USGA rules, golf etiquette, and tournament formats.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Must be eligible to work on a military installation (background check required).</p>
</li>
</ul>
