- PGA Associate working toward Class A membership

### **Essential Responsibilities**
- **Customer Service Excellence **Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with members and guests, ensuring best-in-class customer satisfaction. Addresses inquiries and requests in a professional and timely manner.
- **Leadership and Management **Ensure a welcoming atmosphere while attending to the daily operations of the golf shop, including daily play records, golf range usage, managing inventory, and merchandising. Prioritize the needs of our golfers as your number one responsibility. Learn to schedule and train golf shop personnel, golf cart attendants, and other staff members in accordance with the policies and procedures manual. Assist outside operations as needed.
- **Organizational Skills **Highly organized and detail-oriented to manage schedules, inventory, events, and other operational aspects of the golf shop and facility. Monthly, weekly, and daily communications of the event schedule to members and Club staff.
- **Events **Plan, organize, promote, and direct golf tournaments, outings, leagues, and other events for members and outside organizations. Familiarity with Golf Genius tournament software and Chicago District Golf Association applications a plus. Coordinate details such as scheduling, registrations, course setup, scoring, prize giving, and electronic communications with the membership.
- **Course Operations **Coordinate with the golf course superintendent on course playability, conditions, and maintenance requirements. Manage the golf cart fleet and practice facility operations, ensuring proper maintenance.
- **Instruction **Provide individual and group golf lessons to players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. Offer coaching on swing mechanics, short game, course management, rules, and etiquette. Implement Junior programs and clinics, utilizing PGA resources. Additional income opportunities.
- **Club Fitting & Repair **Assist with setup and conduct club fitting with radar and camera based technologies Foresight/FlightScope X2. Club repair includes reshafting, regripping, loft & lie adjustment.
- **Business Acumen **Assist with budget development and management for golf operations, including monitoring revenues and expenses. Reconcile sales receipts, and prepare reports for Committees and Directors. Oversee merchandise inventory, ordering, and pricing strategies to maximize sales.
