About the Role
Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our Kitchen Leader and culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in food production and management, with a strong background in fine dining and catering. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen scheduling, operations, conducting weekly meetings within all management and Kitchen Lead of golf club as well as weekly meetings with back of house staff, becoming a team member alongside Kitchen Lead and working together to manage staff and communicate with owners daily. Creative menu planning, while ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. Your leadership skills will be essential in teaming up with our Kitchen Lead and managing a productive team while creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to food safety standardsPlan and design menus that reflect seasonal menus and customer preferences as well as keeping golf tournaments and events in mind.Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing wasteSupervise kitchen staff and working with Kitchen Lead and owners as you provide training and guidance to enhance organization and delegating daily and weekly expectations of teamCoordinate banquet services and special events, ensuring all food preparation meets quality standardsMaintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchenCollaborate with positively with Kitchen Lead and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.Maintain constant communication and decisions with Owners and prepare positive communication with Kitchen Lead and staff to relay information to prepare for a seamless team effort well in advance for daily productionMonitor food presentation and portion control to maintain consistency in qualityImplement health and safety regulations within the kitchen environmentCreate relationships with food vendors based on feedback to seek out better products for highlighted menu items and sharing information with your culinary team.Skills
Proven experience in culinary roles with a focus on fine dining or cateringStrong leadership abilities with experience in POSITIVE team management and shift managementKnowledge of food handling practices, food safety regulations, and sanitation standardsProficient in menu planning, food production, and restaurant managementExcellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail for inventory managementAbility to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a POSITIVE attitudeStrong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
