Primary Responsibilities
Assist in cleaning and setting up the room and tables to the specifications of the Food and Beverage Director and/or the Restaurant Reservation Book. Bus and reset tables, serve bread & butter, and pour iced water upon guests' arrival, replenishing as needed. Assist servers and host/hostess. Respond to guests' needs and keep dining room and work areas clean both during and after use.
Essential Job Functions
Complete station assignments and side duties.Check that the service area is stocked with ice, warm bread, butters, cups, linens, and water pitchers.Properly busses and cleans tables, chairs and seats, resets tables promptly after guests leave, sends dirty dishes and glasses to the dishwasher.Reviews server food orders while food is running.Assembles food on tray; procures items from each station as necessary.Knows table numbers and grille room/dining room layout, responds quickly to guest requests or notifies servers or the manager of any guest requests, questions or complaints.Understands and follows safety and sanitation practices and works with clean and sanitized equipment.Stocks and replenishes cups, glasses, sodas, silverware, etc. and backs for the bartender.Performs duties that require standing, fast movement throughout the dining room, kitchen and service area.Position requires bending, reaching and lifting 50 pounds or more.
