Position Summary
Skaneateles Country Club is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Event Setup & Services Associate to support the execution of weddings, golf events, member functions, and private events. This role is responsible for event setup and breakdown, maintaining event equipment and spaces, assisting with service as needed, and ensuring an exceptional experience for members and guests.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Event Setup & Execution
Complete daily setup assignments as directed by the Events Director and Event Services Supervisor. Execute event setups in accordance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), floor plans, and event timelines. Set up and refresh all function rooms, including weddings and ceremonies on the point and golf course. Move and arrange tables, chairs, linens, décor, staging, and other event equipment. Assist with event orchestration and timeline execution as needed. Provide layout and design recommendations when appropriate. Assist members and guests with loading and unloading personal décor. Support rental deliveries and returns, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and repackaged. Equipment & Facility Maintenance
Maintain banquet equipment including tables, chairs, linens, décor, serving pieces, and audio-visual equipment. Assist with basic audio-visual setup as needed. Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage areas (table room, linen room, closets). Report any broken or damaged equipment to the Events Director. Work with Housekeeping to ensure all front and back-of-house areas remain clean and organized. Assist with restroom checks during events when necessary. Event Support & Service Assistance
Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef, Banquet Captain, and Event Services Supervisor to support food execution. Act as a food runner when needed. Assist servers and bartenders during events as required. Transport food and supplies to event locations including the halfway house. Assist with maintaining table linens throughout events. Provide member and guest transportation on club grounds as needed (club car operation required). Professional Standards
Treat all members and guests courteously and adhere to the Skaneateles Country Club Code of Conduct. Report member or guest concerns to the Events Director. Report any violations of club conduct standards to management. Attend pre-event meetings as required. Review weekly event packets with the Events Director and Event Services Supervisor. Work independently for the majority of each shift while completing tasks within scheduled timeframes.
