Kitchen Assistant

Job Summary Church's Texas Chicken is looking for a dependable Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation, kitchen organization, cleanliness, and smooth back-of-house operations. This position is ideal for someone who works well with a team and can maintain quality standards in a busy restaurant environment. Responsibilities Assist with preparing ingredients and menu items. Follow food preparation and portioning procedures. Maintain clean and organized kitchen work areas. Wash and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces. Stock ingredients and supplies as needed. Follow food safety and sanitation requirements. Assist cooks and other kitchen team members during busy periods. Help receive and properly store food deliveries. Minimize food waste and maintain proper food-handling practices. Qualifications Previous kitchen or food-service experience preferred. Basic knowledge of food preparation and sanitation. Ability to follow instructions and established procedures. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine kitchen tasks. Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
