JOB TITLE: Service Technician - In-House
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Shop Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the daily functions related to inspections, maintenance, and repair of turf and professional mowing equipment, used for golf courses, resorts, and athletic fields. This individual will perform all duties per Revels policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (including, but not limited to):
Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technologyConsult equipment operating manuals, schematics, and drawingsPerform scheduled maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating partsDiagnose and identify malfunctions using computerized tools and equipmentInspect, repair, and replace defective or worn parts, such as bearings, pistons, and gearsOverhaul and test major components, such as engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systemsDissemble and reassemble equipment and componentsResponsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on-time submittal of informationMay participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledgeOperates and maintains vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform job responsibilitiesMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products

High School diploma or equivalent At least one year of basic knowledge of automotive repair, electronics, and/or welding requiredFormal vocational or post-secondary training in diesel technology or equipment mechanics preferred Experience working cooperatively in a team environmentExperience communicating effectively verbally and in writingMust have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to complete various activities in the shop that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying, bending, stretching, kneeling, and squattingMust be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Service Technicians usually work indoors in a noisy shop environment. They often lift heavy parts and tools, handle greasy and dirty equipment, and stand or lie in uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time.
