Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with daily dessert preparation for restaurants, special events, and Club functionsPrepare a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods according to production schedules and recipesMaintains all food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with company policy and health regulationsPrepare and serve items in accordance with established recipe and presentation standardsSupport pastry production for special events, including large-scale functionsSchedules production of dessert components to maintain an inventory of fresh items for the restaurants at all timesSets up, maintains and breaks down workstation and restaurant lineNotifies Executive Pastry Chef in advance of expected product shortagesRequisitions supplies as needed to prepare menu itemsEnsures that work area is safe and secureMaintains professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all timesAdheres to state and local health and safety regulationsQualifications and Personal Characteristics

Minimum 2 years of pastry experience on a restaurant line

Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling practices

Experience preparing pastries, desserts, breads, or other baked goods in a professional kitchen environment

Able to take direction from supervisors

Responds well to suggestions from others

Able to focus on timing, and organization

Detail-oriented – you understand that the little things count

Able to anticipate and act with the Members in mind

Is a timely and effective communicator to Members and co-workers
