The Golf Shop Attendant plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to golfers and visitors at our facility. This position involves assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining the shop's appearance, and promoting golf-related products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for golf and a strong ability to engage with customers, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in selecting golf equipment and apparel. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits of merchandise. Upsell products by effectively communicating their value to customers, enhancing their overall experience. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop, ensuring all merchandise is displayed attractively. Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about products, services, and promotions. Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and conducting regular inventory checks. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and customer satisfaction.

Skills

Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in transactions. Experience in product demos to effectively showcase merchandise features. Proven ability in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. Solid background in retail sales, preferably within a golf or sporting goods environment. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with customers. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members. Previous experience in grocery store or retail sales environments is a plus but not required.
