Seasonal (Summer) Lifeguard

Lifeguards at Westmoor Country Club work with other pool staff to maintain the four main facets of pool operation:lifeguarding, pool chemistry, deck supervision, and cleaning and oversight of the locker room. Experience is required; experience in a private club or resort setting is a plus.Hours will vary. Between 12 and 40 hours per week are available for work.

The Westmoor pool is open from 8:45am to 8:00pm daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day.ResponsibilitiesSupervise open swim, activities, and events to ensure that Westmoor pool rules and safety guidelines are followedApply the skills of lifeguarding in the case of an emergency, as learned through certificationsAssist with pool maintenance and locker room cleaning as instructed by managementPay RangeStarting wage $13.50 per hour, increased based on experience and responsibilitesRequirementsLifeguard certificationAt least sixteen years of ageFlexible work schedule:able to work varying shifts to include holidays, weekends, and eveningsWillingness to work as part of a teamWillingness to perform other job-related duties as assignedCoaching experience for swim team, synchro, or diving is preferredAbility to work calmly, efficiently, and professionally in a sometimes busy and stressful recreational settingPlease, no phone calls or walk-ins.
