Position Summary:
The Golf Cart Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional service to members and guests while managing all aspects of the golf cart fleet and staging area. This position plays a key role in the overall golf experience and the first and last impression of the Club’s golf operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet all members and guests warmly upon arrival and departure.
Prepare, clean, and stage golf carts each day to meet expected usage levels.
Assist members and guests with loading/unloading golf bags.
Maintain a clean and organized cart staging and bag drop area.
Clean and sanitize carts after each round.
Ensure carts are properly charged, fueled (if gas-powered), and maintained.
Assist with managing golf bags in the bag room and on bag racks.
Maintain cleanliness of the cart barn and surrounding areas.
Restock and maintain towels, scorecards, pencils, tees, and sand bottles.
Monitor pace of play and communicate with Golf Shop or Marshal as needed.
Provide information about course layout, policies, and amenities when asked.
Assist with tournament setup and breakdown when required.
Report any equipment or cart issues to management immediately.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Golf Professional staff.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years old (check local/state age requirements for equipment use).
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Friendly, professional demeanor with strong communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment in varying weather conditions.
Must be dependable and punctual.
Ability to lift 30–50 lbs repeatedly.
Previous golf or customer service experience preferred but not required.
Working Conditions:
This position requires extended periods outdoors and physical activity.
Uniform and name badge must be worn as provided by the Club.
Weekends, holidays, and early mornings are required.
