TITLE: Golf Course Equipment Operator

GENERAL SUMMARY
Performs work involving the use of large and small motorized equipment. Also performs related work as needed for golf course maintenance.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Mows greens, tees, fairways, aprons, roughs and approaches to greens with gang units and other areas not accessible with gang mowers; operates turf vac, fairway, rough aerafier, power rakes for sand bunkers, aerafies greens, verticut tees and greens, spike greens sod cutter, spray rigs and fertilizer spreaders; mows roughs with rotary and operates other equipment as directed. Adjusts fairway and rough mowers as needed to ensure quality cut. Maintains gasoline, oil, and other equipment fluid levels daily. Ensures that the equipment cooling system is always working. Cleans equipment daily and reports equipment problems or failures to the mechanic immediately. Performs basic preventive maintenance and returns equipment to designated area. Performs other duties as assigned by manager. The duties and responsibilities of this position are not limited to this description, and the Golf Course Equipment Operator may perform a combination of other functions when needed.
