ABOUT ROYAL AUCKLAND AND GRANGE GOLF CLUB
Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club is one of the only truly private member clubs in New Zealand and is known within Australia and New Zealand as one of the premier member clubs.
Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club was formed in 2015 through the merger of Auckland Golf Club, founded in 1894, and the Grange Golf Club, founded in 1924. The merger combined the strengths and traditions of both institutions, bringing together their histories, courses, and memberships to create one of New Zealand’s premier golf facilities.
A CLUB ON THE RISE
Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club is proud to be the home club of Ryan Fox, 2026 Champion Golfer of the Year and winner of The Open Championship. Each December, RAGGC hosts Kiwibank Chasing the Fox, New Zealand’s premier golf entertainment event, bringing professional golfers, sporting stars and celebrities together for Fox’s signature six-hole exhibition.
The Club also hosted the ISPS HANDA Japan-Australasia Championship in 2026 (confirmed for 2027) and the R&A Millennium Trophy in 2025. RAGGC has recently completed a new arrivals and halfway house project, is about to begin a $4 million agronomy facility upgrade, and will next redevelop its driving range — a project the incoming Director of Golf will help shape.

RAGGC welcomes internal candidates alongside the external search, considered on equal footing throughout.
