We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Blackstone Country Club is a private, member-owned country club located in northwest Peoria. We are seeking a talented and dependable Pastry Cook to join our culinary team and help create high-quality desserts and baked goods for our members and their guests. Job Summary The Pastry Cook will prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, baked goods, and specialty items for daily dining, banquets, private events, weddings, and club functions. The ideal candidate is passionate about pastry, takes pride in presentation and consistency, and works well in a team environment. Responsibilities - Prepare pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, pies, breads, and other baked goods. - Follow recipes and production standards to ensure consistent quality. - Assist with dessert preparation for banquets, member events, and private functions. - Decorate, plate, and present desserts with attention to detail. - Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area. - Properly store, label, and rotate ingredients and finished products. - Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. - Work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team. - Help minimize food waste and maintain proper inventory levels. Qualifications - Previous pastry, baking, restaurant, hotel, or culinary experience preferred. - Culinary or pastry training is a plus. - Strong attention to detail and presentation. - Ability to follow recipes and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen. - Reliable, professional, and team oriented. - Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules as needed.
