Golf Course Assistant Equipment Technician

Overview Golf Course Assistant Equipment Technician at DuPont Country Club. This full-time role focuses on providing high-quality service to members and guests, under the direction of the Equipment Manager and/or the Golf Course Superintendent. Responsibilities Repair and maintenance of various gasoline, diesel, and powered golf maintenance equipment. Assist in maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building. Contribute to a preventative maintenance program and follow safety procedures as a top priority. Work under the Equipment Manager and/or the Golf Course Superintendent, and may assist in operating independently. Assist in an effective daily inspection of golf course maintenance equipment. Maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees and the public. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Be available to work a varied schedule that will include weekends. Develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; follow safety practices and recognize hazards. Attention to detail is crucial. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred. One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training preferred. Must have a valid Driver’s License. Working knowledge of the general operation of gasoline, diesel, and electric powered equipment, the proper methods of servicing golf course equipment, and the repair and adjustment of power mowing equipment. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division). Ability to understand and follow oral and written direction. Mechanical ability; ability to use common mechanical tools. Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees and the public. Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Reliable and predictable attendance.
