The Head Golf Professional will assist with the management of the daily golf operations, including, but not limited to, golf instruction, merchandising operation, managing staff, and coordinating all tournament operations. The position will promote an exceptional golf experience, and provide excellent services and programs to all members, their families, and guests.

Education / Relevant training or experience:
Associate's degree or 4 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. PGA Apprentice or PGA Member education required.
Essential Requirements:
Provide exemplary service to both members and guests of Forsyth Country Club. Have a service-minded attitudeExperienced club fitter and teacher, as these are vital to success in this position. Each Assistant will work closely with the other Professional Staff to provide an extensive number of lessons and club fittingsServe as an ambassador of the Club by tirelessly promoting, serving, and representing Forsyth Country Club and understanding the importance of both the golf operation and the Club as a wholeAssist the Director of Golf in the management and execution of an extensive tournament scheduleProvide lessons to all segments of the membership, including: juniors, ladies, men, and seniorsAssist in the training, supervision, and mentoring of the Outside Service Staff.Assist the Professional Staff in the implementation of all golf operation policies and proceduresAssist the other Professional Staff in supervising and managing the total golf operation effectively and efficiently in the absence of the Director of GolfMaintain a professional appearance and presentation of yourself, men will be clean-shavenAll Assistants will maintain an active classification within the PGA of America. If not already a PGA Member, they will actively pursue their membershipWork to keep personal golf game to a competitive levelSpecific Responsibilities:
Lead Mens Golf Tournament Schedule and ProgrammingDelegate tasks to staff from the Director of GolfOversee communication to membershipOversee tee sheet management (blocking for tournaments, frost delays, etc.)Scheduling for StaffAssist with Ladies Tournaments and ProgrammingLeading the golf operation in the absence of the Director of GolfAttend Staff and Golf and Green Committee meetings with the Director of GolfInvolved in the budgeting process of tournaments and golf operationDaily Tasks:
Monitoring and maintaining the required pace of play, working alongside the outside service staff to ensure all areas of the operation run smoothly, and managing the practice areas and bag roomFully knowledgeable of all daily, opening, and closing procedures of the Golf Pro Shop and efficient with the computer systems used dailyFamiliar with all aspects of tournament set-up, including scorecards, golf car tags, proximities, staging area set-up, and billing chargesEfficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PublisherExpert in Golf Genius and Club Essential tee sheet softwareKeep the Golf Pro Shop counter and club repair area neat, clean, and organized at all timesMaintain complete knowledge of the handicapping system and all pertinent handicap informationStays up-to-date and current on all upcoming club eventsKnowledge and application of the USGA Rules of GolfManagement of tee sheet and event sign-upsMinor club repair and re-grippingEngage, interact, and play with the membershipKeeping all merchandise and displays orderlyIndividual instruction, clinics, and club fittingPhysical Demands / Work Environment:
