Job Summary
The Golf Operations Assistant plays a key role in supporting daily golf activities at the club. This position focuses on enhancing the member and guest experience through effective management of pro shop operations and golf-related services. Reporting Structure
Reports to the Head Golf ProfessionalDay to Day Responsibilities
Engage with members through exciting golf events and personalized interactions to promote golf programs.Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of outside areas, including practice ranges and storage zones.Coordinate and manage tournaments and special events to ensure a successful member experience.Support the management of the handicap program and oversee pro shop operations for efficient service delivery.Train and guide golf attendants and pro shop staff on exceptional customer service and operational procedures.Promote golf clinics and lessons for all ages, enhancing member satisfaction and engagement.Contribute to budgeting and inventory control by managing stock levels and effective merchandising.Additional Duties
Adapt to the dynamic nature of the club by assisting colleagues and taking on tasks as assigned by management.Uphold company policies, procedures, and instructions to maintain a professional work environment.Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working atmosphere for all.Pursue personal and professional development to maintain necessary certifications.Address and resolve challenges utilizing available resources while collaborating with regional teams.Participate in daily briefings to stay informed and contribute to team success.About You
Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.Preferred: PGA certification (minimum associate level).Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.Commitment to the highest ethical standards in the workplace.Physical Requirements
Outdoor work exposure to varying temperatures and humidity.Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting, and bending, with the ability to carry up to 50 lbs.Regular use of sight, hearing, and speech.Primary Tools/Equipment
