The Golf Course Marshal is responsible for maintaining an efficient pace of play and ensuring a positive experience for all golfers. This role focuses on monitoring course flow, supporting guests, and upholding course policies while representing the facility in a professional and approachable manner.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor pace of play to keep rounds within target time
Enforce course rules, etiquette, and safety standards in a professional manner
Assist golfers with directions, questions, and general support
Communicate with the pro shop regarding delays, issues, or course conditions
Help manage tee time flow and spacing between groups
Report maintenance concerns, hazards, or incidents promptly
Support tournaments and events by assisting with player movement and coordination
Maintain a courteous, professional presence on the course at all times
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of golf rules and course operations preferred
Strong communication and guest service skills
Ability to handle situations calmly and professionally
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to operate a golf cart safely
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, sit, and drive for extended periods
Ability to work outdoors in heat, sun, wind, or light rain

Outdoor golf course setting
Frequent interaction with guests, golfers, and staff
