Assistant Grounds Superintendent
Position Overview:
Miles of Golf is seeking a dependable, hands-on Assistant Grounds Superintendent to help maintain our grounds, facilities, equipment, and driving range operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in creating a welcoming environment, and wants to develop practical skills in turf care, landscaping, irrigation, and equipment maintenance.
We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
The Assistant Grounds Superintendent reports to the Grounds Superintendent and helps guide department staff when needed.
What You’ll Do
Maintain turfgrass, landscaping, and other outdoor areas.
Help care for company buildings, structures, and facilities.
Assist with the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment.
Operate company vehicles and equipment, including tractors, work carts, and golf carts.
Help maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems.
Manage range ball inventory and keep range balls clean and ready for customers.
Carry out efficient range ball collection and cleaning procedures.
Assist with supervising and coordinating grounds department staff.
Complete maintenance work efficiently while minimizing disruption to customers.
Monitor activity throughout the facility and help protect company property.
Build positive, respectful working relationships with coworkers and customers.
Support merchandise, service, and facility operations as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Google Workspace.
Comfort using manual, battery-powered, and gas-powered tools.
A dependable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented approach.
Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
Valid driver’s license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, maintenance, or equipment experience is helpful, but not required.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
This is an active, outdoor position. Team members must be able to:
Walk and stand for extended periods.
Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
Regularly reach and work with their arms overhead.
Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Occasionally climb ladders.
Work outdoors in varying conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow.
Schedule A standard work week is 5 days, 40 hours, per week. Sunday through Thursday will be the standard schedule, but some flexibility will be required.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
