Job Title: Food & Beverage Manager Department: Food & Beverage
Reports to: Director of Food & Beverage Effective Date: March 2026
Job Summary: The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the daily leadership and operational management of assigned dining outlets and service areas at North Ridge Country Club. This role ensures the delivery of exceptional member dining experiences through strong leadership, operational excellence, staff development, and adherence to club standards.
The F&B Manager oversees service execution, financial performance, staffing, training, and member satisfaction while maintaining the club’s culture of hospitality and service excellence.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily operation of food and beverage outlets including a la carte dining, bar service, and special events.
• Ensure outlets are properly staffed and prepared for each service period.
• Maintain operational readiness including cleanliness, organization, and service setup.
• Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed in accordance with club standards.
• Maintain a consistent presence on the dining room floor during service periods.
• Assist in coordinating service operations between front of house and culinary teams.
• Promote and uphold North Ridge Country Club’s culture of hospitality and member focused service.
• Develop relationships with members and regularly engage with them during service.
• Respond to member feedback and service concerns promptly and professionally.
• Anticipate member needs and ensure a personalized dining experience.
• Maintain awareness of member preferences, dietary restrictions, and special requests.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard front of house staff.
• Provide leadership and direction to supervisors and hourly service staff.
• Develop staff schedules based on business volume, events, and service needs.
• Conduct daily pre shift meetings and service briefings.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
• Train staff on service techniques, club standards, and operational procedures.
• Maintain and enforce service standards for a la carte dining and beverage service.
• Educate staff on menu items, wine service, and beverage knowledge.
• Ensure all staff demonstrate proper service etiquette and professional presentation.
• Monitor labor costs and staffing efficiency.
• Review daily sales and revenue reports.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering procedures.
• Assist with wine list management and beverage menu development.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with state regulations.
• Assist in planning and executing club events and tournaments.
• Coordinate with banquet and culinary teams to ensure proper service execution.
• Ensure proper staffing levels and service standards during club functions.
• Maintain knowledge of club POS systems and service technology.
• Ensure accurate order entry and billing procedures.
• Assist in staff training related to POS systems and payment procedures.
• Review shift reports and sales summaries.
• Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain compliance with alcohol service regulations.
• Promote workplace safety practices.
• Ensure club policies and procedures are consistently followed.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Advanced knowledge of food and beverage service
Strong organizational and multitasking ability
Ability to maintain composure in a fast paced hospitality environment
Strong attention to detail and service standards
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in food and beverage/hospitality management
Private club or upscale hospitality experience preferred
Strong knowledge of wine and beverage service
Hospitality degree preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during service
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires
