Position Summary
The Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach is responsible forassisting the Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach in administeringall aspects of the varsity men’s and women’s golf programs.

Provision of a healthy and aspiring team environment, conduciveto positive athletic and academic results.
Efficient and thorough administration of College, Department,NCAA, and MAC policies and functions.
Positive contributions to York College’s enrollment pursuitsand institutional image.
Essential Functions
Teaching (80%)
Coaching student-athletes in practice and incompetition--primarily teaching skills and strategies, providingguidance in physical and mental development, and conveying programvalues.
Provide academic and appropriate personal guidance.
Recruiting (10%)
Scout, identify, and communicate with prospectivestudent-athletes and their families.
Administrative (10%)
General organization, practice planning, travel coordination,etc.
Experience and Education Required
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Minimum of three years of experience in organized, competitivegolf.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Ability to coach and teach; appropriate knowledge and effectivecommunication/interaction skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collegiate setting withenrolled and prospective students and their families, faculty,administrators, staff, alumni, and the greater Collegecommunity.
Commitment to professionalism and serving as a positive rolemodel.
