Overview
We are seeking a passionate Superintendent with expertise in agronomy, leadership, and environmental stewardship. Your job will be to ensure our course remains in top condition for players. This is a full-time, year-round position. Salary is based on experience with a range of $60,000 - $85,000

Experience Required
Preferred certifications: CGCS; CCGIS; Turfgrass Management Certificate; Pesticide Applicator LicenseProven experience in golf course groundskeeping.Thorough knowledge of the construction of golf courses and the ability to maintain golf course tees, fairways, and greens.Proficient with the maintenance of different types of turf used on golf courses, the planting, cultivating, pruning, and caring for plants and shrubs.Knowledge of the characteristics and proper use of various fertilizers, soil conditioners, herbicides and pest control materials and methods.Possess thorough knowledge of drainage control methods, watering, and irrigations systems, including wells, pumps, and automatic controls.Ability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays as needed, minimum of 55 hours per week
Essential Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities:
Turfgrass Management including greens, tees, fairways, roughs and native areas.Oversee mowing, fertilization, aeration, and weed control.Develop turf management programs to maintain optimal playing conditions.Irrigation System ManagementMonitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution.Schedule watering cycles and adjust sprinkler heads for efficiency.Pest & Disease ControlImplement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies.Conduct regular inspections and apply treatments to prevent outbreaks.Course Maintenance & PlayabilityMaintain greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and cart paths.Ensure the course is safe and playable for golfers.Staff Supervision & TrainingHire, train, and manage groundskeepers and maintenance staff.Provide technical and safety training to ensure compliance with regulations.Budget & Resource ManagementOversee maintenance expenses and manage the budget efficiently.Order supplies, equipment, and materials as needed.Environmental & Sustainability PracticesDevelop water conservation strategies.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.Communication & CoordinationWork closely with club management to enhance the golfing experience.Communicate with golfers about course conditions and upcoming maintenance.
