This position is responsible for assisting the Superintendents in supervising crew, dispersing daily crew work assignments, and participating in the maintenance of the golf courses.

Ensures golf course grounds are maintained at pristine, tournament quality conditionsAssists in supervising and training a crew of 20 plus employeesMaintains and directs repairs to irrigation systemEnsures that all fertilizer and pesticide applications are applied and recorded according to the product labelOperates and maintains golf course equipment when necessaryFollows all state and local safety and environmental standardsOther duties as directed.GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSExtensive knowledge of turf, soil, fertilizers, pesticides, golf course equipment and irrigation technologyPossess strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skillsAbility to work flexible schedule and long hours when necessaryKeen attention to detail and strong sense of urgencyEDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS2 or 4 year degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Facilities Maintenance or related field preferred but not mandatorySC Certified pesticide applicators license or able to obtain one within 60 days.SENSORY/PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTSEndure long hours of being exposed to all types of weather conditionsRequired to walk and stand for lengthy periods of timeFrequently requires the ability to bend, squat, twist, kneel, and climbMust occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-70 lbs.About Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort Since 1978, Greenwood has achieved success because of the steady, consistent, and reliable service to our customers, our guests, and our communities.
