Boys Varsity Head Golf Coach

Job Title: BOYS VARSITY HEAD GOLF COACH Under the supervision of the East Grand Rapids High School (EGRHS) Athletic Director, the boys varsity golf coach is responsible for the EGRHS boys varsity golf program. The boys varsity golf coach will develop individual and team skills and continue to build upon the "Tradition of Excellence" of the East Grand Rapids athletic program. The boys varsity golf coach should have prior successful golf coaching experience and will be able to holistically develop the individual player as well as the team. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) Successful golf coaching experience or college coaching/playing experience (preferred) Flexible time commitment Knowledge of MHSAA rules and regulations CPR/AED certification First aid knowledge (preferred) Essential Duties: Ability to effectively communicate and implement a program that fulfills the role of interscholastic athletics Ability to lead by example and develop professional and meaningful relationships Willingness to implement and sustain a culture of success and accountability that places student development and sportsmanship at the forefront of the program Ability to work cooperatively with players, parents, boosters, fans, and the media Ability to plan and implement practices that build fundamental skills, and adapt practices and drills to fit the differing levels of ability of student athletes and teams Ability to encourage student athletes to participate in golf, and advocate for continued growth of the program throughout the community Willingness to encourage student athletes to participate in multiple sports/extracurricular activities Work cooperatively with strength and conditioning coordinator to implement in-season training programs Experience in providing direct supervision of student athletes Ability to be responsible for maintaining the inventory and storage of equipment and the care of facilities Willingness to adhere to the processes and procedures as outlined in the East Grand Rapids Coaches handbook Willingness and ability to maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance Ability to complete other duties as assigned Reports To: Athletic Director Rate: Per Contract Start Date: March 15, 2026 Duration: 1 Year (Renewable based on athletic director recommendation) To Apply: Interested applicants should apply at: https://jobs.redroverk12.com/org/eastgrandrapids Deadline: Until Filled
