About The Golf Club:
The Golf Club is a, private 18-hole golf-only facility designed by Pete Dye and opened in 1967. Consistently ranked among the Top 100 Golf Courses by leading publications, our 500-acre property features scenic landscapes, including Blacklick Creek, native areas, old-growth forests, and several picturesque water features. Recent upgrades include 20 USGA greens, redesigned bunkers, a Toro 2-wire irrigation system (renovated in 2013 under Pete Dye's direction), and a fairway master drainage plan completed in 2021.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Assistant Superintendent to join our team in this entry-level role. Working closely with the Director of Grounds, Superintendent, fellow Assistants, and Equipment Manager you will contribute to high-level golf course maintenance and gain hands-on experience to prepare for a successful career in turf management.
Key responsibilities include:
Plant health applications and record-keeping
Irrigation system maintenance
In-house project execution
Staff training and leadership
Requirements:
2- or 4-year degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or a related field
2-3 years of golf course maintenance experience
Positive, strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a team environment
Excellent communication skills
Detail-oriented with high personal standards
Ability to lead by example and uphold the club's culture and vision
Physically capable of performing maintenance tasks and lifting up to 50 lbs.
