Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

We are seeking an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our team at a prestigious private 18-hole golf course in Boca Raton. As the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of the golf course to the highest standards. You will need to be a proactive and self-motivated individual who can anticipate and address the daily, weekly, and monthly needs of the golf course efficiently.

Working closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating team efforts to achieve the expectations of our esteemed membership. Your role will involve managing turf maintenance, overseeing irrigation systems, and implementing pest and disease control measures. Additionally, you will assist in managing budgets, procurement of supplies, and training staff members on best practices in golf course management.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for golf course management, a deep understanding of turf care practices, and excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with the team and club members.

Bocaire Country Club is currently going through a full bunker and lake bank restoration. The bunkers are being lined with Bunker Solutions and finished off with the Perma Edge Synthetic border and G-Angle sand. 39 bunkers will have an 8" Perma Edge, while 17 bunkers will be a hybrid revetted style. The lake banks are being transformed with Sox Erosion Control Barrier and re-grassed with Bimini Bermuda.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in golf course maintenance

- Strong knowledge of turf care, fertility programs, 2 wire irrigation systems, and pest control management

- Ability to plan and lead a team

- Strong skills training abilities

- Excellent organizational and leadership skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

- Interest in planning for new autonomous technology

- Valid Florida RUP license or able to retain one within 60 days
