General Manager - Golf Course

The General Manager provides overall leadership, managing the day to day operations at the golf course. The GM oversees all departments of the course, including the pro shop, kitchen, bar, and grounds, ensuring all areas operate smoothly. This role requires a collaborative leader that can handle multiple responsibilities at one time and the ability to delegate workload effectively to the hired staff and any other business partners. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations at the golf course Managing Tee sheet Hiring & training of staff and setting work schedule Clubhouse employees Grounds crew Effectively manage food and beverage inventory Ordering of any necessary supplies Maintain proper tracking of revenue for all areas of the golf course Promote the golf course to encourage continued revenue Identify potential areas of improvement while controlling costs Monitor overall financial performance and report regularly to Board of Directors. Attend regularly-scheduled meetings with the board of directors Oversee payroll and purchasing Oversee financial management of the golf course, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Promote a positive, team-oriented workplace culture Manage special course/clubhouse events including: Fundraising tournaments/Events Clubhouse rental Serve as the primary ambassador for Greystone Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to golf course operations Preferred Qualifications · Experience in golf course management Proficient in managing financials Experience with budgeting and Profit/Loss Management Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Experience with POS systems, including set-up, with the ability to convert the numbers to organized P&L reports Familiarity with golf tee sheet management software Work Schedule Wide range of working hours including regular weekdays, weekends, holidays, with early mornings and late nights also part of the job. The GM will be in control of their own hours along with scheduling other employees. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience. Club/Personal performance-based bonus potential.
