About the position
Panther National, a private golf and lifestyle community in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, is seeking a full-time Merchandise Manager for the 2026/27 season. This role offers mentorship and growth opportunities within a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine commitment to service, an eye for presentation, and a desire to contribute to a high-performing team. The position involves managing the golf retail operations, including purchasing, inventory preparation, sales promotions, and staff education, all while contributing to the overall success of the golf and club operations.
Responsibilities
Consistently provide world class individualized service to members and guestsBe a valued team member contributing to golf and club operation success.Work with Staff and Tournament Chairpersons; gifts and prizesDevelop and foster member & member’s family relationshipsWork closely with the Director of Golf, Head Professional and Panther Management to create the golf retail & open to buy plan for each seasonPurchase Men’s & Ladies apparel and accessories within buying planPrepare incoming inventory for sale (pricing, tagging, display)Work with accounting dept to be sure invoices are paid on time, discounts utilized.Coordinate and conduct inventoriesEducate and assist golf shop staff to enhance service, product knowledge and sales skillsBuild relationship amongst golf staff and other departments.Attends golf merchandising meetings and conferences to constantly enhance knowledge of trends, practices, products and to grow network.Create and utilize an exceptionally welcoming and timely special-order systemCreate, promote, and conduct sales promotions and special events (trunk shows, holidays, etc.)Requirements
One to Five Years High end Retail ExperienceGenuine service heartWorking knowledge of POS and Inventory softwareProficient in Microsoft word, excel, publisher and power point.Experience with open to buy systemsCreativity for display, communications, and promotionsPlays an effective role in a team environmentAbility to plan and trackConducts all business in an ethical manner.Benefits
