The Club at Old Hawthorne is seeking a motivated, passionate, and career-oriented Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual looking to advance their career while working at one of central Missouri's premier 18-hole private golf clubs .
Working directly with the Golf Course Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent will help oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance with a focus on providing exceptional playing conditions for our membership. This individual will be involved in daily operations, crew leadership, irrigation management, turfgrass programs, and ongoing course improvement projects.
We are looking for a self-motivated professional who enjoys leading by example, values teamwork, and takes pride in producing exceptional playing conditions every day.
Course Information
- 18-hole private golf club
- Bentgrass greens, tees, and surrounds
- Zoysia fairways
- Kentucky bluegrass/turf type tall fescue rough
- Commitment to providing exceptional course conditions and a first-class member experience
Qualifications
- Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field is required.
- Previous golf course maintenance experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cool-season and warm-season turfgrass management.
- Experience with irrigation systems and water management.
- Missouri pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain one with in 60 days of hiring.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for the golf course industry.
