About Overlake:
Overlake Golf & Country Club is a private, member-owned club located just outside Seattle. Our classic A.V. Macan-designed 18-hole course is renowned for its commitment to superior playing conditions, environmental stewardship, and a supportive workplace culture. We are continuing an ongoing long-range Master Plan with architect Jeff Mingay. We have completed tee, bunker, and drainage renovations and this year we will be completing a renovation of the Driving Range.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Assistant Superintendent to join our golf course management team. This position is one of three equal Assistant Superintendents, all of whom play a central role in planning and executing daily operations.
Our team-based leadership model gives Assistants a high degree of ownership and decision-making opportunity. You’ll be deeply involved in all aspects of turf management, including crew leadership, irrigation and moisture management, cultural practices, and project planning.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise daily maintenance operations
• Train, develop, and motivate crew members
• Manage irrigation system scheduling, troubleshooting, and repair
• Manage chemical and fertilizer applications, and product inventories
• Monitor turf health and implement cultural practices
• Assist in planning and execution of construction and renovation projects
• Collaborate with the Superintendent and other Assistants to drive continuous improvement
• Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management or related field preferred
• Washington State Pesticide Applicator License (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• 2–4 years of progressive golf course experience
• Prior supervisory experience
• Spanish-speaking ability is valued but not required
