Lifeguard
Position Overview:
Rumson Country Club is seeking a responsible and attentive Lifeguard to ensure the safety of all patrons in and around the pool area. This role also includes providing swim instruction and fostering a safe, fun, and engaging aquatic environment for swimmers of all ages.
Required Qualifications:
Current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Energetic, positive, and engaging personality, especially when working with children
Ability to work independently and respond quickly in emergency situations
Key Responsibilities:
Lifeguard Duties:
Monitor pool area at all times to ensure the safety of all swimmers and guests
Enforce all pool rules, policies, and safety regulations consistently
Recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations
Administer first aid, CPR, or other emergency care as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pool environment
Remain alert, attentive, and focused while on duty
Team & Communication:
Maintain professional and positive relationships with members, parents, and staff
Communicate effectively regarding swimmer progress, safety concerns, and scheduling
Assist with coordinating coverage when needed
Rate of Pay:
$16 to $18 Depending on experience
